July 9 - Ultra100
July 10 - Skyrace and Marathon
There will be 26 fresh km with 2,800 spectacular altitude meters in an open and varied terrain. The trail takes you over the mountain range from Fjordgård to Husøy. There are 7 mountains to be climbed, with the famous ski mountains Grytetippen and Keipen as the highest. One will follow trails and natural trails. Over 90 percent of the route is above the tree line.
The fastest in the Active Class spend just under 4 hours. If you primarily plan to walk, you should calculate around 8 hours.
This will be a mountain marathon that has a bit of everything - airy mountain terrain, marsh, trail, gravel road, scree, and snow. The length of the route will be 42.3 km if you run the shortest way up and down all the mountains, but we assume that most people will zigzag a bit so that the distance will probably be closer to 44 km.
The route is about 1800 meters in total ascent, with Lasset and Skarelvfjellet as the highest. After 14 km you will meet participants who run Sans Senja Ultra100, and in the last 12 kilometers you will run with participants from Skyrace. We anticipate that the fastest runners will run at an average speed of around 9 km/h.
This will be an ultra race that will demand a lot from its participants. The race is 100 kilometers long, and takes you from the southern part to the northern part of Senja. In total, you will ascend 4700 meters, but the highest peak is no more than 850 meters - Istinden. The first 2/3 of the route is a marked hiking trail, while in the last third you will find Sans Senja marking
After 70 km you will meet participants who run the Sans Senja Marathon, and in the last 12 kilometers you will run with participants from Skyrace. We think the fastest runners will run at an average speed of around 6 km/h.
